CQUniversity Partners with PT BIRU to Revolutionize Vocational Education in Indonesia’s Mining and Hospitality Sectors

PT BISA Ruang Nuswantara (BIRU), has entered into a significant partnership with Central Queensland University (CQUniversity) aimed at advancing vocational education in Indonesia’s mining and hospitality sectors. This collaboration will enhance curriculum development, provide mentorship, and support educator upskilling to meet the critical skills needs within these industries.

CQUniversity Chief of Staff Melissa Misztal and BIRU Chief Operating Officer Kanya Sjahrir signed the MoU at the University’s Brisbane campus on August 21, 2024. Both CQU and BIRU are committed to empowering individuals and fostering sustainable development through this innovative approach to education and workforce development.

The MoU was celebrated during the IndoOz 2024 Business Networking Dinner on August 22, 2024, attended by Mukhamad Najib, Education and Cultural Attaché at the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra; the Honorable Mark Furner MP, Cabinet Minister of the Queensland Government; John-Paul Langbroek MP, Shadow Minister for Multiculturalism and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships; Paul Hodgson from Central Queensland University; Kanya Sjahrir from BIRU; Iwan Fuad Salim, Director of Delta Dunia Group; and David Widjaja, Founder & Director of DWC International Pty Ltd.
