CQUNIVERSITY JAKARTA CENTER MBA PROGRAM GRADUANDS AT CQUNIVERSITY BRISBANE GRADUATION CEREMONIES

Almost 500 students have forged new paths for the future at dual CQUniversity Brisbane Graduation Ceremonies on 26 August.

Bakrie University Vice-Chancellor Prof Sofia W. Alisjahbana.

The events were held at the Brisbane Convention and Entertainment Centre and included a cohort from CQU’s Indonesian university partner, Bakrie University and nine Doctoral graduates.

Graduands heard from two guest speakers, Bakrie University Vice-Chancellor Professor Sofia Alisjahbana and Queensland Police Superintendent Graham Coleman.

At the morning ceremony, Professor Alisjahbana congratulated Bakrie University’s graduates during her speech alongside their CQU counterparts.

“This graduation is particularly gratifying for me personally because some of the second cohorts of the Bakrie University/Central Queensland University MBA program in Indonesia are among you graduating here today. Allow me to congratulate Ningsih, Jolanda, Gisella and Indah,” she said.

“A small number perhaps as the other half of the cohort had chosen another venue and time for their graduation. But as they say, a journey of a thousand kilometres starts with a single step, and with the early commitment and persistence already shown, we look forward to a long and fruitful partnership between our two institutions.”

At the end of his speech, Prof. Sofia congratulated the graduates of CQUniversity. “Graduates, you do come from different backgrounds, but you are still one under the auspices of the same educational institution. Each of you is very unique, be part of a group that makes a good contribution to the world. Leave your mark, and don’t waste time.”
