Trade and Investment Queensland visit to CQU Jakarta

Chairman of Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) Steve Bredhauer visited CQUniversity Jakarta campus on Monday 20 June 2022. TIQ chair Steve Bredhauer would like to see progress and find out the extent to which The plan to establish an Agriculture Faculty and Food Futures Research Centre in partnership with Sam Ratulangi University in Manado, as part of the Triple Helix Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in 2021 with Bappenas (National Development Planning Agency), the North Sulawesi Provincial Government and TIQ Indonesia.

The visit was also attended by Trade and Investment Commissioner TIQ Indonesia – Ben Giles and Principal Business Development Manager TIQ Indonesia – Irma Irsyad who accompanied Steve Bredhauer to visit CQU Jakarta. In a statement, TIQ chair Steve Bredhauer said this visit was to see the development of the CQU Jakarta CAMPUS project so that it could become a model for other projects, especially in the world of education and other fields. Because this collaboration involves the education sector, technology, and becomes the government’s partner in advancing the welfare of the community.

Local partners include the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning, the Ministry of Agriculture, the local government of Buleleng Regency, Sam Ratulangi University Manado, Ganesha University of Education, and Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ).

As part of the agreement, CQUniversity researchers will work with stakeholders to develop farm capacity and productivity so that producers can increase production of beef for domestic consumption in Indonesia.
