[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On August 24, 2020, CQUniversity Associate Vice-Chancellor Professor Hendrik Halim made a courtesy call to Professor Suharso Monoarfa, Indonesia’s Minister of National Development Planning at the Bappenas Building Jakarta.
They discussed several issues regarding national development and focussed on the development of a CQUniversity Institute of Future Farming in Manado. CQUniversity has an Institute of Future Farming Systems at its main campus in Rockhampton. The Institute performs world leading research in agricultural and animal husbandry technologies, effectively leading the Industry 4.0 in Agriculture. The minister suggested that CQUniversity partners Universitas Sam Ratulangi to establish a similar entity in Manado, to help improve agricultural development in Indonesia. Professor Hendrik Halim agrees with the idea and pledges CQUniversity to work closely with Unsrat and Bappenas to make this vision a reality.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
